Country Cool Kitchens are Back!
In a world always advancing and moving forward people always seem to fall back on something familiar to them, sure all these new smartphones and autonomous vehicles are awesome and vastly superior to what people had in the past yet Nokia recently released an updated design of the 3310, a phone just a few years younger than the person writing this; not to mention the boom of vinyl sales recently, a dead music format revived to its former glory because it used to be good, it's what people remember, it's familiar and homely; nostalgic even. And those feelings of familiarity brings us nicely onto the topic of this blog post.
In recent years the needs and wants of homeowners has changed drastically, nowadays all everybody wants is a modern, futuristic kitchen; all the blacks and greys and whites you could ask for. These kitchens are designed to be as modern and look as up to date as possible and they do a wonderful job of it, however recently people have been looking at going back to what made a kitchen a kitchen back then: the warm colours, the marble counter tops, the controlled clutter and the little flourishes of decorations on the walls, all while keeping an oddly impressive up to date aesthetic. Anything that revives that feeling of homeliness that a minimalistic kitchen simply cannot provide. We know how hard it can be to choose what is perfect for you, so we have created a mini list of some of our kitchen bar stools best suited for these retro kitchens just to make it that little bit easier.
First up we have our stunningly simple Aldo range of kitchen stools (pictured above), these stools are perfect for this type of kitchen as their sleek and timeless design allows them to blend in effortlessly; giving them an atmosphere that they have always been there and that they belong exactly where they are. They are available in a variety of colours (black, grey, red, white, cream, brown) so you're definitely not strapped for choice when it comes to these stools; they are also available to be upgraded to one of our deluxe ranges which features a flat cast iron weighted base, an upgraded gas lift mechanism, a two year warranty and a more premium seat top material.
Next on our list we have our beautifully classic Sorrento range of kitchen stools, these stools feature a wide, round seat top for extra seating space and a backrest that blends perfectly into the rest of the stool. These absolutely stunning stools are more on the modern side when compared to the Aldo stools above, but the sheer atmosphere of style and the character the stools bring to the kitchen make them more than worthy of a place on our list. They are available in a massive range of colours (black, grey, red, white, purple, green, blue, cream, brown) so whatever the colour or style your kitchen is the Sorrento kitchen stool definitely has a place; to top it all off this stool also features an upgrade to the deluxe edition, boasting the same features as that of the Aldo stool.
Finally on our list we have our brilliant Carcaso range of kitchen stools, these stools truly ooze character. The designs harken back visually to the great high roller clubs of the 40s to the 60s; with a more modern twist. The chrome frame visible throughout the stool winds its way through the backrest and seat top beautifully, giving it a contemporary flair blended perfectly into the classical design. Available in a range of colours chosen to emphasise the styling of this stool (black, white, brown, red, cream, grey) they fit beautifully into any style of kitchen imaginable. This stool is only made greater by upgrading to the deluxe version, complete with the same features as those stated for the previous two stools above.
So they're back! Country Cool kitchens are on the rise and they've made a statement with their classic yet modern looks, and we've risen to help you with the transition. We understand that it's difficult to go from a minimalistic design back to this more retro kitchen style and we hope that we have been a help by showing you just some of the stools that are suited for these types of kitchen. Evidence that these kitchens are back on the rise is shown in this article from the Independent [link]. The kitchens shown throughout the blog post are from the Tom Howley site, those images used can be found in the Hartford Collection.
